We at motoexotica classic cars are happy to present a 2004 chrysler crossfire coupe that was owned by the original female owner since new and only has 44,xxx miles! Born during the daimler-chrysler years, therear-drive chrysler crossfirewas built bykarmannof germany for model years 2004-2008. The two-seater is based on ther170 platformand shares 80 percent of its components with the r170mercedes-benz slk320. The name "crossfire" refers to the two character lines that run from front to rear along the body sides crossing each other midway through the door panel. Conceived during the period ofchrysler's ownership bydaimler-benz, the name also refers to the collaboration of the two companies. Dressed in blaze red crystal pearl paint, the cars exterior is in very good condition, with only minor blemishes visible upon close inspection. The tinted glass panels are all in great shape, including the glass backlight with rear defroster. The lights are in good order but the headlight covers have faded from sun exposure. The car rolls on yokohama tires, 225/40r18 in front and 255/35r19 in back. Those tires surround seven-spoke factory alloy wheels. The factory radio is inoperable. All of its body panels are straight, the power rear wing spoiler automatically deploys above 60 mph and the bumpers are in great condition. Chrysler executed the interior and exterior styling. All other elements of the car such as wheelbase, track, engine, transmission, and chassis structure and suspension components are shared with ther170 platform. An example of this is the engine bay of the crossfire, which is virtually identical to the slk320on ther170 platform. The slk320 seats will bolt directly into the crossfire chassis. The matching carpet is in very good shape. The headliner is gray and looks great. Finishing the interior is a becker am/fm stereo with anti-theft, cd and an infinity modulus 240-watt amplifier with six speakers. The standardtransmissionis a six-speedmanualwith an optional five-speedautomatic. Standard and limited models, originally sold beginning in the 2004 model year, are equipped with a mercedes-benz 3. 2l, 18-valve,sohcv-6 engine. Unlike most cars of its time, the crossfire does not use arack and pinionsteering system; instead, it utilizes arecirculating ballsystem as employed on the donorr170 platform.
