2001 Ford Excursion Limited This vehicle runs and drives great; the tires are new. Recently replaced lower oil pump and drivers side window motor. The batteries are about 1 year old. The excursion best suited for families who tow boats, horses or other heavy trailers. The seat weighs 75 pounds, but in short order i pulled it out and threw it into the back of another suv on a cold montana morning before driving to a trout stream. set up as a two-seater, the excursion can carry an outlandish amount of cargo. A sheet of plywood slides in easily and lays flat on the floor. Two people could sleep in comfort on the huge, flat cargo area. Believe it or not, we managed to fill an excursion. But differences in ride and handling between the two are surprisingly subtle. The 4x4 handles well for a big rig, tackling corners with confidence and offering good grip on dirt roads. at high speeds, the excursion is stable. Strong crosswinds and an 18-wheeler going in the opposite direction had little effect. However, excursion does not offer the ride sophistication of the chevrolet suburban and gmc yukon xl 1500 models. The all-terrain tires that are now standard on all 4wd excursions are good for muddy trails, but. This is the last year that the excursion's were produced. The last couple we have built have sold very quickly! These are really cool suv's, the ultimate family car! Mechanically this truck is very solid, really needs nothing. She starts right up, runs hard, shifts smoothly and does everything it should. The 4wd works flawlessly. This drivetrain is pretty much all stock on this truck, has not been tampered with. This truck has not been studded or deleted but it shows no symptoms or issues! Truck has a 4" zone lift and is sitting on 20x12 moto metal wheels with 35" nitto tires. Cosmetically the truck is very straight. No body damage or flaws. No paint issues or rust issues. Interior is in very good shape as well. This truck is leather and loaded with features such as heated seats, rear dvd, and plenty of other power options.
