Typical modifications were removal of convertible tops, hoods, bumpers, windshields, and/or fenders; channeling the body; and modifying the engine by tuning and/or replacing with a more powerful type. "Hot rod" was sometimes a term used in the 1950s as a derogatory term for any car that did not fit into the mainstream. 1929 Ford Model A - O Fallon, ILGateway Classic CarsO Fallon, IL 62269Ph: 6182713000Web: www Cloth Interior✔ Alloy Wheels

S box and the broadway melody. 88 years ago when this car was produced the likes of louis armstrong was first releasing weather bird (rag) and the great depression began after the huge wall street crash of 1929. Luckily, along with a big economic downturn, good things still came out of that year! Ford produced this delightful automobile. This classy looking little roadster is powered by a stout 350 cid v8 cherry which sends this classic down the road like a rocket! It is finished in a stunning black cherry paint job and a two tone interior to compliment it perfectly. The chrome work throughout this 29ã¢?? Is in amazing shape and wonã¢?? One of the nicest things about this car is the fact that itã¢?? S never been damaged and it has original panels! Gatewayclassiccars. Com/orlando/1929/ford/model-a-s781. AM/FM✔ CD Player✔ Alloy Wheels

Between 1927-1931 ford churned out nearly 5 million model as. There were numerous body styles on the same platform and this is a unique one; a closed cab pickup with wooden bed sides rather than the more common steel sides. This would've been the f150 work horse of its day, but now it makes a great parade vehicle. This truck fires right up and shifts smoothly through all 3 gears. Adding to the reliability of this truck is the completely new wiring harness, and adding to the comfort is new rubber engine mounts. Nothing beats the charm of a wooden wheel with a white wall tire, and this truck has 6 of them to admire. Other stylistic touches include chrome grill, vinyl top, and rolling drum speedometer. Lowered and wearing distinctive gold paint with a burgundy folding top and matching body accents, this car is definitely not an automotive wallflower. The paint and trim bits are in excellent condition, including the running boards. All of the glass panels are quality, no cracks or haze and the rear window is plastic. The cars lights are in overall good shape, but the headlights show some patina but matches the style just right. The rear and side view mirrors all use a flame theme, in design and/or color in addition, the car has the optional cowl lights and door poppers. The burgundy cloth top is in great shape. The color adds a pleasing contrast to the gold body and the burgundy serves as the cars body accent color, too. The rear has wide fenders with corvette c4 taillights and custom quad exhaust outlets, the rear view looks sinister! The car rolls on cooper cobra radial g/ts, sized 195/50r15 in front and 295/50r15 in back. Inside of those tires are chrome and vented aftermarket wheels. All of its body panels are straight and solid, the engine bay is tidy and the trunk is very tidy, complete with carpet and fords v8 logo. The horn is inoperable. The cars front bumper is in good order. Under its hood is a strong running cleveland 351 cid v-8 engine with edelbrock air cleaner, carburetor and buttoned to a tremec five-speed manual transmission. The cars battery is new and car is pre-wired for trickle charger use. Inside are new tan-and-beige bucket seats with sculpted back and bottom bolsters, the matching tan carpet is in very good order, as is the tan, covered instrument panel. The three-spoke, flat-bottom aftermarket steering wheel has a rim mostly finished in warm-looking burled wood to match the shift lever. Car features weapon-r seat belt restraints. The door panels, mirror glass, center console and shifter are all in very good order. Original sale prices for the model a ranged from $385 for a roadster to $1,400 for the top-of-the-linetown car. This engine provided 40horsepower and top speed was around 65mph. The model a had a 103. 5-inch wheelbase with a final drive of 3. 77:1. The transmission was a conventional three-speed sliding gear, unsynchronized manualwith a single speedreverse. Previous fords used controls that had become uncommon to drivers of other makes. The model a's fuel tank was situated in the cowl, between the engine compartment's firewall and the dash panel. It had a visual fuel gauge and the fuel flowed to the carburetor by gravity. A rear-view mirror was optional. This all steel original truck has been completely frame off restored to correct standards and previously was displayed long-term at the flathead ford museum in bigfork, mt. Its tan and black exterior looks excellent and its glass panels are in very good order. The trucks body panels are in fine condition and straight, even the flying quail radiator cap and rubberized brown roof over the closed-cab. The pickups bed has new wood and the metal bodysides are overall unblemished. The front bumper is in very good order and theres a side-mounted spare tire located on the drivers side, complete with matching tan ford vinyl cover. The 201 cidi4 engine has been rebuilt. Inside, the black bench seat is in excellent shape. There is no carpet but the brown headliner is in good order. The basic tan instrumental panel is in excellent shape and highlights the trucks spartan nature. The gauge cluster includes three basic gauges. The cluster is in a diamond formation, with the start key and pop-out locking switch is on the left point. The top of the cluster holds the gas gauge, which directly connects into the gas tank, behind the dashboard. The odometer and speedo are currently inoperable. The right point holds the amp gauge, which shows the charge rate of the generator. The bottom of the dash holds the speedometer and odometer. The inner door panels and shift lever complete the basic nature of the interior. The controls in the model a are entirely mechanical, except thewindshield wipersin later models. The mechanical system is a pull lever system that applies the force from the pedal to a pivot that pulls the brake rods that expand the brakes in the drums. The brake light is activated when the brake pedal is pushed. The brakes are proportioned more toward the rear drums. The parking brake is a chrome lever on the floor with a release button on the top. The windshield wipers started as hand operated and later models were powered by vacuum diverted from theintake manifold. The horn button is mounted in the middle of the steering wheel assembly. Controls for the lights are also incorporated into the steering assembly. The switch was a three-stop switch for parking lights, headlights and high beams. Two levers are mounted on the steering column to adjust the engine. The left lever controls the manual advance of the timing. Adjusting the timing of the engine changes the time that a spark will occur in the combustion chamber and those changes affect the performance of the engine. The right lever is a manual control for the throttle. The throttle can be adjusted to ease the shifting of the transmission and the idling speed of the engine. Underneath the dash on the right side is the choke rod. The choke can adjust the flow of fuel from the carburetor into the engine. Turning the knob on the choke rod clockwise closes the fuel flow, leaning out the engine; turning the knob counterclockwise opens the fuel flow to the engine. Current mileage on the odometer shows 8,497 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, exempt mileage arizona title.
